Our client, a leading high street retailer, is seeking an ambitious HRBP to hit the ground running in a regional field based role. This is a true generalist role, focussing on supporting the field based management team in driving performance. Solid working knowledge of employment legislation and exposure to complex employee relations cases is a necessity and the successful candidate will show a strong commercial awareness and be able to embody the company values to influence change within their region. This role will require travel and one day per week working from the Hertfordshire headquarters. Duties:
  • Inspire confidence and cultural transformation through building effective working relationships with stakeholders
  • Coach line management and other key stakeholders through the effective delivery of organisational processes and procedures
  • Develop and implement the resource strategy
  • Identify and address training requirements and manage staff development initiatives
  • Support the talent agenda, working closely with store managers
  • Advise on reward and recognition processes including pay, benefits and retention
  • Work closely with the wider HR team, attending team meetings and reporting any issues that arise
  • Collaborate with regional counterparts to ensure consistency in HR practice across the business
Skills and experience:
  • CIPD qualified
  • Strong generalist experience within a commercially focussed environment
  • Analytical and able to interpret HR data to recognise requirements
  • Skilled influencer with the ability to build strong relationships within a diverse manager group
  • Excellent employee relations knowledge with proven exposure to complex cases
  • Ability to work at a pace and maintain high standards
  • Experience in retail preferred
